Raw Materials
The extracted fiber undergoes a thorough drying process in a well-maintained concrete yard to ensure optimal moisture reduction and quality preservation. Simultaneously, the coir pith is carefully transported and stored in designated bunkers, where it is prepared for the next stage of processing—an extensive washing procedure. This meticulous approach ensures that the pith is completely purified, eliminating seeds, weeds, and any foreign particles, resulting in a clean, high-quality product suitable for various applications.
Drying
The squeezed material is then carefully spread out and dried under natural sunlight in a spacious, well-maintained cemented yard. This open-air drying process is conducted in a vast, contamination-free area, ensuring that the material remains free from any foreign particles. During this stage, rigorous moisture level testing is performed to monitor and control the drying process. Once the material reaches the desired moisture content, it is deemed ready for the next crucial step—screening, which ensures consistency and quality before further processing.
Washing
The raw coir pith undergoes a thorough washing process using fresh water to effectively reduce its electrical conductivity (EC) levels. This crucial step ensures that any excess salts and impurities are removed, enhancing the quality of the material. To maintain high standards, the washed coir pith is carefully inspected by a Quality Control Officer, who verifies that the EC levels meet the required specifications. Every precaution is taken throughout the process to adhere to the precise standards and expectations of buyers, ensuring a premium-quality end product.
Screening
Once the drying process is complete, the material undergoes a meticulous screening process to ensure purity and quality. Advanced revolving screeners and sand separators are employed to eliminate any remaining external substances, such as fine dust, sand, or other unwanted particles. This step is crucial in refining the dried coir pith, ensuring it is free from impurities. After the screening process, the cleaned material is now ready for the compaction stage, where it will be compressed into the desired form for further processing or packaging.
